In reading "The Promise of Prediction Markets: A Roundtable" by The McKinsey Quarterly, I wanted to share this link with you,
Pretty much, these are stock options on real events where people bet by buying and selling them. The prices seen are the probabilities of that event taking place, it is pretty cool.
