Hamilton Ulmer
About: I frickin' love the stuff we're studying. If you're interested in data mining, startups, human behavior, ideas, anything - and by "interested" I mean if you want to start a project and need some brainstorming / coding done, send me a line. I've got too much energy and not enough projects on my queue.
What I study / where I work
HelloMovies.com (alpha testing), data mining, behavioral economics, computational neurobiology, startups
What I do best
eat, read, learn/play any instrument you can hand to me, decomposing problems, planning things, climbing steep learning curves
What I want to learn
what direction the web is moving, where innovation is most likely to occur, basics of web mining (bots, etc.)
What I am most curious about in the area of people and data
building behavioral models of decision making based off of web records, making UIs more intuitive, programming/desigining for people like my mom (non-engineers)
What I like best about this course
not only is the content interesting - but the actual format of the course is so much cooler than most others.
